Durante l’ultimo evento Apple, Tim Cook, aveva dichiarato che gli utenti che avrebbero attivato un nuovo dispositivo iOS (sia esso un iPhone 5s, 5c o 5), avrebbero potuto acquistare gratuitamente le applicazioni iWork e la maggior parte del pacchetto iLife.

Molti utenti sono riusciti a scaricare gratuitamente suddette applicazioni, ma è anche vero, che altrettanti non ci sono riusciti, pur avendo acquistato un dispositivo iOS dopo il 1° di Settembre.

In queste ore Apple, sta correndo ai ripari, e se avete pagato per una delle applicazioni sopraddette, pur avendo un dispositivo iOS attivato dopo il 1° Settembre, dovreste ricevere a breve una mail del genere:

Dear iTunes Customer,

On September 10, 2013, Apple announced that iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers iOS apps are now available as a free download on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013.

Our records indicate that you purchased one or more of these apps on or after September 1, 2013 so we have provided you with the iTunes code below in the amount of $5.34. This credit can be used towards the purchase of any content on the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store.

Da notare, che il rimborso riguarda solo l’applicazione effettivamente scaricata e non quelle ipoteticamente scaricabarili (com’è giusto che sia).
